Position: IT Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary:
The IT Manager will oversee the information technology needs of the company, ensuring that all systems and processes are aligned with the organization’s goals. The role involves managing the IT department, implementing technology solutions, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure across the company and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
IT Strategy & Planning:

I. Develop and implement IT strategies in line with business objectives.
II. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when beneficial.
III. Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of hardware, software, and network systems.

• Ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure, including servers, data storage, and communication systems.

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team.

• Develop training programs for staff to enhance technical skills.

Cybersecurity:

• Implement robust cybersecurity policies and procedures.

• Monitor and respond to security breaches and threats.

Project Management:

• Manage IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.

Vendor Management:

• Negotiate with and manage relationships with IT service providers and vendors.

• Ensure all IT purchases align with company policies and budget.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Prepare regular reports on IT performance and issues for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of IT management experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software systems.

• Experience in project management and leading IT teams.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL.

• Experience with industry-specific software and systems.

• Knowledge of cloud computing and data management.
