Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for POS devices, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
- Integration: Develop and implement integration solutions between POS devices and backend systems, including ERP, CRM, and other business applications.
- System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize POS systems and integration processes to ensure continuous, error-free operation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and business analysts, to define and implement POS system requirements.
- Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate POS software and integration solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, integration protocols, and user manuals.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive data processed through POS systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- Customer Support: Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers regarding POS software and integration issues.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements to POS systems and integration processes.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
2.Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in POS software development and integration.
3.Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar.
- Experience with POS device software development and integration.
- Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC) and API integrations (RESTful, SOAP).
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., My SQL, SQL Server) and cloud services.
- Understanding of security standards related to POS systems (e.g., PCI-DSS).
5.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
6.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile POS solutions and cloud-based POS systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
