Assignment Description

• The tasks are done for the Integrated Operations Centre and Technical efficiency (IOCT) in Global OTE in business area EPN.
• IOCT provides proactive monitoring and insights to our assets using proprietary tools that have been developed to meet the needs of our client.
• Enhancing and building new tools for IOCT is one of client’s digital flagship initiatives.
• IOCT Agile Dev Ops is a tribe of several agile squads collaborating closely with dedicated Product Owners and UX resources, together empowered to build and run sophisticated tools based on the Omnia Azure data platform.
• IOCT Dev Ops DPL (De-bottleneck & Produce to limits) squad builds and runs some of the core components in the IOCT platform.
• It is important that these components run well and get tuned as the solution extends to cover more use cases.
• We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) developer to join the DPL agile team and work closely with the other BI specialists from the other IOCT agile teams.
• The candidate is expected to participate in the team activities, which include:
• Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand business needs.
• Maintain and extend today’s BI reporting solutions, including Azure SQL server objects and Azure Analysis Services tabular models.
• Develop dashboards using Power BI.
• Work on all phases including design, data modelling, extraction, load, transformation and visualization
• Contribute to technical discussions and knowledge sharing with fellow team members.
• Work closely with other developers across several teams to ensure high availability and high data quality in the BI solution
• Participate in transition to Microsoft Fabric

Qualifications

• Business Intelligence architecture and solutions
• Microsoft BI stack: Power BI, Semantic Models, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory etc., including strong expertise in SQL and Power BI best practices
• GIT
• Agile development
• Experience with MS Azure cloud platform, including but not limited to resource construction with ARM / Bicep Templates and Azure Analysis Services
• Timeseries data / sensor data
• Microsoft Fabric, including data ingestion/load, Lakehouse/Warehouse
• Programming in Python, C# or other programming languages
• A bachelors’ degree, or higher.
• Minimum five years of professional experience.
• The ability to ensure technology brings value by meeting user and business needs.
• Good collaboration and communications skills, fluency in English, both written and oral
• English and Norwegian language
