Kabal is strengthening its finance team, and, on their behalf, we are seeking talented professionals to cover two pivotal roles: Group Finance Controller and Finance Controller.

The positions will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, planning, and reporting of Kabal AS and the Group, and will have the main responsibility for ensuring robust financial control, accurate financial reporting, and comprehensive financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

The controllers will report and cooperate closely with the Finance Manager.

Main tasks Group Controller:

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to establishing financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards regularly
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of the Group and Holding company's assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
• Prepare and provide financial statements and reports to executive management
• Prepare and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual Group reporting to owners and other external partners
• Oversee work and support the accounting consultants
• Evaluate and report on the financial performance of the Group
• Contribute to annual sustainability reporting and the Norwegian Transparency Act

Main tasks Finance Controller: (Kabal AS)

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirement
• Maintain internal control to safeguard the receipt of revenue, costs, organizational budgets, and actual expenditures
• Prepare and provide financial statements and reports to executive management
• Prepare and monitor budget and forecast
• Oversee accounting services provided by suppliers in the UK, US, Malaysia, Norway, and other locations
• Accounts payable and receivable for the company and subsidiaries
• Issue and ensure correct and timely invoicing of projects
• Administrate pension and insurance
• Issue income reports and follow up on refunds from NAV
• Oversee and control payroll
• Maintain a routine for managing multiple currencies
• Ensure that withheld tax issues are managed
• Contribute to relevant grants
• Contribute to annual sustainability reporting and the Norwegian Transparency Act

Qualifications and requirements:

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economy, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience
• Good understanding of accounting and knowledge of Norwegian business practices and regulations
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel user. Knowledge of XLedger and Power BI would be an advantage
• Excellent Norwegian and English skills, both written and verbal
