Your new position
As our new Lead Engineer, you will be a central part of our growing Asset Management team with highly competent people in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, and India.
You will play a key role in delivering sustainable high-quality energy projects to customers within Bioenergy and Power Generation, Energy Intensive Industries, Offshore Energy, Power-to-X and Gas Infrastructure, Energy Systems, Wind, Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead Asset Management projects and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with contract requirements and customer expectations.
- Develop O&M philosophies and concepts with focus on reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM).
- Conduct reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) simulations and studies.
- Develop maintenance strategies and O&M manuals.
- Carry out impact classification, RBI and RCM analyses.
- Lead FMECA workshops and analyses.
- Perform min/max calculations for optimization of spare parts.
- Implement O&M data into the customers’ Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
- Develop and nurture enduring customer relationships by serving as a trusted advisor on asset management.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities in the asset management sector by applying strategic acumen and industry knowledge to expand our market presence.
- Actively support our business development team in client engagements and in the tender process to ensure value propositions are tailored to client needs in asset management.
- In your role, you will not only deliver technical excellence but also drive the growth of our Asset Management portfolio by unlocking new avenues of service and fostering long-term partnerships.

Rambøll Asset Management is part of Rambøll Energy and offers end-to-end asset management services and consultancy based on a combination of expert knowledge of Operations & Maintenance theory, digital tools, and hands-on technical experience. Our extensive Asset Management experience stems from a wide range of energy projects including our deliveries within Gas Infrastructure, Power-to-X, Oil & Gas, Substations, Bioenergy, Power Generation, and Industry. From a life cycle point of view, our services range from early-stage operability and maintainability assurance within the concept and design phase, to late life cost optimization.

About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. These include:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in related disciplines or equivalent
- Min. 10+ years of experience in Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) from oil & gas or renewable energy projects in Norway.
- Good understanding of maintenance theory, including MTBF, RCM, FMECA, etc.
- Extensive experience in Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) assessments.
- Extensive experience in the development of O&M manuals and spare parts management.
- Good understanding of the Norwegian regulations from Havtil (formerly PTIL), the Norwegian Maritime Directorate, the machinery directive etc.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude, structured and analytical mindset.
- Good English and Scandinavian language skills – both verbal and written
- Residence in Norway
