Materials Engineer - Polymers

• Ensure that the department has relevant up-to-date technical competence within various polymeric materials.
• Ensure materials technology competence with regards to selection of sub-suppliers, process-ability and application.
• Specify and qualify materials for cables and accessories.
• Manage and participate in R&D projects
• Technical follow up of material suppliers
• Take part in trouble shooting and root cause analysis
• Participate in engineering processes with materials expertise

• MSc within materials technology, materials science and engineering, chemistry, polymer physics and/or polymer chemistry
• Able to work independently
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to convert theory into practical solutions
• Experience in project and team work
• Interest in research and development
• Fluency both in written and spoken English and preferably also Scandinavian language
