Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design & Verification Engineer with extensive experience in FPGA development and verification methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of FPGA-based systems, particularly focused on video stream processing and hardware acceleration. This role also involves integrating FPGA design into the CI/CD development process and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs.
Key Responsibilities:

• FPGA Design & Development:
• Develop, implement, and optimize FPGA designs using VHDL and System Verilog.
• Work with video stream-based designs and develop efficient solutions for video processing and transmission.
• Utilize Intel/Altera Quartus tools and incorporate IP cores as necessary for design implementation.
• Testbench Development:
• Create and manage testbenches using System Verilog, UVM (Universal Verification Methodology), and UVVM (Universal VHDL Verification Methodology).
• Verify FPGA functionality through simulation and formal verification techniques.
• CI/CD Integration:
• Integrate FPGA development into a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Automate build, simulation, and testing workflows to ensure timely and efficient releases of FPGA designs.
• Collaborative Development:
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and systems engineers to ensure the smooth integration of FPGA designs into broader systems.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
• Debugging and Optimization:
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to FPGA designs.
• Optimize FPGA performance for power, area, and speed to meet project specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation and progress reports.
• Participate in design reviews and provide insights for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FPGA design using VHDL and System Verilog.
• Extensive experience with System Verilog UVM and UVVM for testbench development.
• Proficiency in using Intel/Altera Quartus tools and working with Intel FPGA IPs.
• Strong understanding of video stream processing in FPGA designs.
• Experience in integrating FPGA design into a CI/CD workflow.
• Familiarity with simulation and synthesis tools for FPGA verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high-speed interfaces like PCIe, HDMI, and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of HLS (High-Level Synthesis) for FPGA.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as Signal Tap, Model Sim, or similar.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of FPGA architecture and hardware design principles.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL) for automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable designs.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: Up to 350.00kr per hour
