We are strengthening our team with a motivated and self-driven medical colleague. The position will cover the entire product portfolio within oncology in Norway, with special focus on bladder cancer. The role has a strong external focus and will therefore require frequent travelling. Medical Manager in our organization acts as a local medical affairs expert and supports the leadership team in the development of the therapeutic areas within oncology. The position reports to our Medical Director in Norway.
Your role:
Establish a network with oncologists for medical and scientific discussions in the areas of bladder cancer, colorectal cancer, and head and neck cancer. This involves developing and disseminating scientific knowledge about these diseases, treatment regimens, and medications. Identify medical needs and enhance our medical strategy to position ourselves as trusted advisors and supporters for stakeholders within these therapeutic areas.
In alignment with our strategy, maintain a visible external presence to discuss data related to these therapeutic areas and identify collaboration opportunities based on a comprehensive understanding of the field. Proactively initiate and build strong professional relationships within the healthcare sector, engaging in scientific exchanges and collaborations with medical experts, and participating in conferences and other relevant professional forums.
Prepare and deliver educational medical presentations for both internal and external knowledge sharing and development. This includes developing medical materials, reviewing marketing materials, conducting trainings, and ensuring scientific and clinical accuracy for specific products or brands. Actively contribute to cross-functional collaboration within the organization, sharing expertise and supporting the commercial team and other relevant functions.
Who you are:
- University degree in a medical or scientific field (preferably MD or Pharm)
- Preferably experience from the pharmaceutical industry in medical roles (MSL/Medical Advisor or related)
- Substantial professional, clinical or research experience in oncology is preferred, as well as knowledge on the Norwegian public healthcare sector and regulatory processes.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate publications on scientific content
- Fluent in Norwegian & English
