PALFINGER Marine Norway Winches, Handling and Access Equipment group needs to strengthen the engineering team with a team leader for electrical dept. The team now consists of two electrical engineers in Bergen supporting project department and production. Position is placed in the Nesttun office close to Bergen, Norway and team leader reports to technical department manager. The team leader has the responsibility of the personnel in the electrical dept and guide them in their designs and daily work. Team leader is also responsible for the technical solutions on the electrical side and needs to cooperate closely to mechanical, hydraulic and software departments. Work includes both new designs and upgrades of advanced marine and access equipment. Typical tasks are designing electrical drawings in Eplan P8, dimensioning electrical components and cables and preparing documentation. Systems are in many cases complex with combinations of hydraulics, variable frequency driven motors and PLCs.
We are looking for a motivated manager with ability to build up a stronger department and that has a strong technical background within electrical systems. The position requires you to lead less experienced engineers, support them in their work and make sure what they deliver is of good quality.

Your Tasks
- Electrical design of various types of winches and handling solutions
- Component dimensioning, specification and selection
- Department management including guidance and follow-up of electrical engineers
- Sales support with concept preparations and evaluations
- Service support and fault tracing complex issues
Qualifications
- MSc or BSc degree Senior Electrical Engineer, preferably with management experience for leading smaller teams
- Experience with design of electrical circuits in Eplan P8
- Experience in selection of siemens PLC and RIO component.
- Experience with dimensioning of electrical motors and drives.
- Experience with performance level calculations / SIL
