HVAC Supervisor

Position Summary:
The HVAC Supervisor will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in managing a team of technicians to ensure the smooth operation of HVAC systems. The HVAC Supervisor will also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, energy efficiency standards, and quality control policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to commute/relocate:
The HVAC Supervisor will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in managing a team of technicians to ensure the smooth operation of HVAC systems. The HVAC Supervisor will also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, energy efficiency standards, and quality control policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead a team of HVAC technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and schedule HVAC maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and adheres to company standards.
- Manage labor resources effectively and ensure technicians have the tools and supplies needed.
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, and ventilation systems.
- Supervise preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize system efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC systems, diagnosing technical issues and implementing repairs.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all work is performed according to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Promote a culture of safety, conducting risk assessments and ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Client Management:
- Communicate effectively with clients, facility managers, and other stakeholders regarding HVAC system performance, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for system improvements.
- Energy Efficiency:
- Evaluate the energy efficiency of HVAC systems and recommend improvements to reduce energy consumption.
- Stay updated on advancements in HVAC technology and energy-saving techniques.
- Procurement and Budgeting:
- Assist in preparing budgets for HVAC maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacements.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and equipment required for operations.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field.
- 5+ years of Gulf experience in HVAC maintenance and supervision.
- Experience working in the facilities management industry in Oman is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with Omani building codes and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HVAC management software and tools.
- Driving License: Should have a valid Oman Driving License.
- Must be able to work in diverse environments including commercial, residential, and industrial sites.
- Ability to work on-call or extended hours as necessary.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
