Job Advert Description

You will be responsible for translating a variety of legal and business documents, as well as serving as a liaison with government ministries and authorities. See below a list of your responsibilities:

Translate legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other materials from English to Arabic and vice versa
Review and edit translations for grammar, clarity, and consistency
Liaising with Government authorities (including frequent offsite visits to such authorities)
Facilitate communication and ensure smooth interaction between the firm and various Government ministries and departments
Stay informed about new and changing government regulations that may affect the firm’s operations and clients
Support the legal team with research and gathering information from governmental sources

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
Previous experience in translation, particularly within a legal context, is preferred
Familiarity with Omani government procedures and regulations is an asset
Driving licence is a must
