Job Advert Description
You will be responsible for translating a variety of legal and business documents, as well as serving as a liaison with government ministries and authorities. See below a list of your responsibilities:
- Translate legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other materials from English to Arabic and vice versa
- Review and edit translations for grammar, clarity, and consistency
- Liaising with Government authorities (including frequent offsite visits to such authorities)
- Facilitate communication and ensure smooth interaction between the firm and various Government ministries and departments
- Stay informed about new and changing government regulations that may affect the firm’s operations and clients
- Support the legal team with research and gathering information from governmental sources
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
- Previous experience in translation, particularly within a legal context, is preferred
- Familiarity with Omani government procedures and regulations is an asset
- Driving licence is a must
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility and commitment; willing to go the extra mile
- An ability to operate with minimum supervision
