Job Title: Senior Furniture CNC Programmer

Job Summary:
The Senior Furniture CNC Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and overseeing CNC programs used in the manufacturing of high-quality furniture products. This role requires advanced knowledge of CNC machinery, CAD/CAM software, and experience in furniture design and production. The Senior CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality in the manufacturing process, while also ensuring daily production targets are met and reported accurately.
Key Responsibilities:

• CNC Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for woodworking machinery, ensuring precision in the cutting, shaping, and assembly of furniture components.

• CAD/CAM Software: Utilize CAD/CAM software to translate furniture designs into machine-ready CNC files.

• Machinery Setup: Collaborate with machine operators to set up and maintain CNC equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are functioning properly.

• Quality Assurance: Review design specifications and drawings to ensure that the programming meets quality and production standards.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC programming, machinery, and tooling to minimize downtime.

• Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline manufacturing processes.

• Daily Targets: Ensure daily production targets are achieved by efficiently managing CNC programs and machine operations.

• Reporting: Generate and submit daily production reports to the management team, highlighting key metrics, completed work, and any challenges faced during production.

• Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth project flow from concept to completion.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, updates, production processes, and daily reports for future reference.

• Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor junior CNC programmers and machine operators on best practices, safety procedures, and efficient programming techniques.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CNC programming, with mandatory experience in a furniture manufacturing environment.

• Education: A degree or certification in CNC Programming, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, Solid Works, Auto CAD) and woodworking machinery.

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD models.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and fix errors in programming and machinery setup.

• Attention to Detail: High level of precision in developing CNC programs that meet tight tolerances and design specifications.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and advanced woodworking techniques.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling and resource management.
