Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Coordinator / Trade Coordinator to manage our import processes, coordinate with international suppliers and local customers, oversee documentation, and ensure efficient import operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the main liaison between suppliers and customers, facilitating the timely opening of Letters of Credit (LC).
- Coordinate shipment schedules with suppliers to meet timelines and contract requirements.
- Provide consistent updates on order status, shipment schedules, and any required documentation.
- Trade Documentation Management:
- Review and verify trade documents, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Insurance documents.
- Share verified documentation with customers for approval.
- Maintain organized records of trade documents for reference and compliance.
- Data Entry and Record Maintenance:
- Accurately enter order details, LC information, and transaction data into the company’s systems.
- Keep updated records of all sales, purchases, LCs, and bank contracts to ensure traceability.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Chemistry or a related field) to support product inquiries.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or trade management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of customs brokerage, import regulations, and ocean logistics.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional approach to client inquiries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
