Summary:Union Steel are seeking an experienced Internal Head Auditor to lead our internal audit function, ensuring effective risk management, compliance, and governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong audit background, excellent leadership skills, and knowledge of steel industry operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement internal audit strategies and plans.
2. Lead audit teams to conduct risk-based audits, identifying control weaknesses and process improvements.
3. Conduct special audits and investigations as required.
4. Report audit findings and recommendations to management and the audit committee.
5. Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors.
7. Evaluate/Audit financial documents for accuracy and compliance with Federal & Company Policy
8. Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.9. Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
10. Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability.
11. Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
1. Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CIA, CMA).
2. Minimum 7-10 years of audit experience, preferably in the steel industry.
3. Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal controls.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
5. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Desirable Skills:
1. Familiarity with steel industry operations and processes.
2. Experience with ERP systems.
3. Knowledge of Pakistani laws and regulations (e.g., Companies Act, Tax Laws).
4. Certification in risk management (CRMA) or internal audit (CIA).
