Position Overview:
The Manager Internal Audit will establish and lead YAP Pakistan’s internal audit function, ensuring that the company’s processes comply with local laws and internal policies. The role involves conducting audits to assess financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and adherence to compliance requirements. The individual will also be instrumental in developing internal control systems and providing recommendations to improve operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the internal audit function and develop an annual audit plan based on risk assessments.

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to ensure the company’s processes are effective and compliant with regulations.

• Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, reporting any deficiencies and making recommendations for improvements.

• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

• Provide reports and insights on audit findings to the senior management team.

• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions based on audit recommendations.

• Identify operational risks and work with various departments to mitigate these risks.

• Stay updated with industry best practices, audit frameworks, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the banking or fintech industry.

• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and auditing standards.

• Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or ACCA are preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
