Position Overview:
The Risk & Fraud Monitoring Officer will be responsible for monitoring digital banking transactions for signs of fraud or risk, ensuring the security of YAP Pakistan’s services. The role involves detecting, investigating, and reporting suspicious activities while working closely with the compliance and legal teams to ensure that all procedures comply with local regulations and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor real-time transactions for unusual activity, including potential fraud and money laundering.

• Investigate and analyze flagged transactions to determine the risk or validity of fraud.

• Work with the compliance team to submit suspicious activity reports (SARs) to regulatory authorities.

• Implement and maintain fraud detection systems to prevent unauthorized access or fraudulent transactions.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities in case of fraudulent activities.

• Develop and update risk management policies and procedures to enhance fraud detection and prevention.

• Provide training and awareness sessions for staff on fraud prevention techniques and the latest industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud detection and risk management, ideally in digital banking or fintech.

• Strong knowledge of fraud detection systems, tools, and industry practices.

• Experience with anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) processes.

• Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
