Position Title: Marketing and Community Engagement Lead – Gaming
Working Hours: 1pm to 9pm – Afternoon Shift
Working Days: Mon to Fri (Sat & Sun Off)

About the Company:
We are an emerging game development studio with a passionate team. We are preparing to launch our first psychological horror game, Pestilence. We aim to create captivating gaming experiences by blending innovative ideas with community-driven development.
About the Job:
We are seeking a Marketing Lead with 3-5 years of experience in the gaming industry or related marketing fields. This role will spearhead the marketing and community engagement efforts for Pestilence. As a small indie studio, we value creativity, hands-on approaches, and a results-driven mindset. If you're passionate about gaming and marketing, this is your opportunity to lead impactful campaigns in a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Planning
  • Immerse yourself in Pestilence to understand its themes, target audience, and unique selling points.
  • Conduct in-depth market research on psychological horror games, identifying trends, competitors, and target demographics.
  • Develop a tailored marketing roadmap covering pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
  • Collaborate with the team to set and manage an efficient marketing budget.

  • Digital Presence Management
  • Craft and manage a social media strategy for platforms like You Tube, Discord, Instagram, Twitch, Tik Tok, and Reddit.
  • Create and maintain an optimized Steam page, showcasing trailers, updates, and community interactions.
  • Develop and execute a content calendar with engaging posts, behind-the-scenes updates, and promotional campaigns.
Community Building & Engagement
  • Establish and moderate a robust Discord community, fostering a loyal fan base.
  • Organize community events like gameplay challenges, live Q&A sessions, and teaser reveals.
  • Promote user-generated content such as fan art and gameplay videos.
Influencer Collaboration
  • Identify and engage with influencers, streamers, and content creators aligned with psychological horror gaming.
  • Plan and execute influencer campaigns with demo copies, exclusive content, and co-branded events.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance to refine strategies.
Reporting & Optimization
  • Prepare weekly reports highlighting campaign progress, community growth, and feedback insights.
  • Integrate player and community feedback into ongoing strategies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related fields.
  • Experience: 3+ years in gaming or marketing roles. Candidates with strong marketing experience without direct gaming exposure may also be considered.
  • Proficiency in managing social media profiles, running You Tube campaigns, and driving community growth.
  • Creative mindset with strong analytical skills to assess and optimize marketing initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of gaming trends and audience preferences in the horror and indie game space.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
