Position Summary: A Podiatrist at the Diabetes Centre will play a crucial role in providing expert podiatric care to patients with diabetes, focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating foot-related complications that can arise due to diabetes. The Podiatrist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and wound care specialists, to provide comprehensive care that promotes foot health and prevents complications such as diabetic foot ulcers, infections, and amputations. The role requires in-depth knowledge of diabetes-related foot care, as well as a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

6. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of foot conditions related to diabetes, such as neuropathy, poor circulation, and foot deformities.
- Provide treatment for foot infections, ulcers, calluses, corns, and ingrown toenails.
- Offer preventative care, including regular foot screenings for high-risk patients.
- Develop individualized foot care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including lifestyle recommendations.
- Educate patients about proper foot hygiene and the importance of regular foot inspections.
- Advise on appropriate footwear and orthotic devices to alleviate foot pressure and prevent complications.
- Provide diabetic wound care, including debridement and management of foot ulcers.
- Identify signs of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and diabetic neuropathy, ensuring early intervention.
- Work alongside diabetes specialists, endocrinologists, and wound care nurses to create comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Participate in case discussions and team meetings to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Educate patients and their families on managing foot health in relation to diabetes.
- Conduct group or individual educational sessions on topics such as foot inspection, footwear selection, and the risks associated with poor foot care in diabetes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
- Prepare reports on patient outcomes and contribute to clinical audits to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest podiatric and diabetic foot care research and advancements.
- Attend relevant training and professional development workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Any other task assigned by concerned management.
- In-depth knowledge of diabetic foot care and associated complications.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
- Experience in treating diabetic foot conditions in a clinical setting.
- Age Limit maximum 50 years.
