Position Summary
The Shipping & Freight Forwarding Executive will manage and oversee all logistics, shipping, and freight forwarding operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods. This role involves coordinating with clients, vendors, shipping lines, and customs agents while adhering to regulations and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Operations:

• Plan and execute shipments for clients, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Schedule cargo pick-ups and deliveries with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Track and monitor shipment progress, providing updates to clients.

Freight Forwarding:

• Manage all aspects of freight forwarding, including air, sea, and land transport.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers and forwarders.
• Ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.

Client Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipping and forwarding inquiries.
• Resolve client issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Provide consultation on the best logistics solutions tailored to client needs.

Customs and Documentation:

• Prepare and process export/import documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with customs agents to ensure compliance and resolve any clearance issues.
• Stay updated on customs regulations and trade policies to avoid penalties or delays.

Vendor and Carrier Coordination:

• Build and maintain relationships with shipping lines, port authorities, and logistics providers.
• Monitor carrier performance and address service issues proactively.

Cost and Performance Management:

• Monitor shipping expenses and work on optimizing logistics costs.
• Analyze shipment data to identify trends and improve processes.
• Prepare operational reports for management review.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of international shipping documentation and INCOTERMS.

Skills:

• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
