Forge Forward, Inc. is searching for an Afloat Systems Engineer in our Panama City, FL office. This particular position will be 50% work at NSWC and 50% aboard an expeditionary Navy vessel, both in-port and at sea. Travel will be required up to 50% of the time.
Minimum of Interim Secret clearance required prior to first day of employment. Must have the ability to maintain and obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen as only a citizen may hold a security clearance.
Requires prior experience working in a Linux environment as well as Systems Administrator role. Responsible for installation of new hardware and software and creating and managing user accounts. Maintain computer systems such as servers and databases. Plan and properly respond to system outages and other problems as they arise. May include light programming or scripting to make system workflows easier for training computer users and assistants. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years' experience or 4 years' experience in lieu of a degree. Comp TIA Security+ CE certification required.
