Afloat Systems Engineer

Minimum of Interim Secret clearance required prior to first day of employment. Must have the ability to maintain and obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen as only a citizen may hold a security clearance.
Requires prior experience working in a Linux environment as well as Systems Administrator role. Responsible for installation of new hardware and software and creating and managing user accounts. Maintain computer systems such as servers and databases. Plan and properly respond to system outages and other problems as they arise. May include light programming or scripting to make system workflows easier for training computer users and assistants. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years' experience or 4 years' experience in lieu of a degree. Comp TIA Security+ CE certification required.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's and 2 years' experience or 4 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
-Prior experience working in a Linux environment.
-Prior experience in a Systems Administrator role.
-Comp TIA Security+ CE certification.
-US citizen with minimum Interim Secret level clearance.
Functional Responsibilities and Skills:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Experience in a Systems Administrator role.
- Installing of new hardware or software.
- Creating and managing user accounts.
- Maintaining computer systems such as servers and databases.
- Planning and properly responding to system outages and various other problems.
