Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Drivers Helper to assist our drivers in the safe and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires physical stamina, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.
Duties

• Assist drivers in loading and unloading freight from various types of vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and tankers.
• Help secure loads to prevent shifting during transport.
• Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
• Provide support during deliveries, including assisting with the placement of items at customer locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and loading area.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with operating various vehicles such as tow trucks, box trucks, tankers, or vans is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications for specific vehicle types (e.g., paratransit or school bus driving) are a plus.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to following safety protocols.
