We are seeking a dedicated and organized Route Manager to oversee our delivery operations and ensure efficient route management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of service while optimizing delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily route planning and scheduling for delivery drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Supervise and train delivery personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to load and unload deliveries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and resolving any issues that arise during transit.
- Analyze route performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of loading and unloading procedures for various types of cargo.
- Familiarity with box truck operations and commercial driving regulations.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate efficiently during route driving, utilizing GPS systems or maps.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of motivating a team to achieve operational goals.
Pay: $50,413.00 - $54,640.00 per year
