We are looking for a Market Risk Analyst to join our Team at AES PANAMA!

In this role you will use various modeling and valuation techniques and tools, ensuring the proper identification and management of all the Risks that could affect the Company value, within the Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Risk Management team.

Responsibilities:

• Participate on the development, monitoring and reporting of the risk Metrics and mitigation strategies within MCAC markets.
  
• Participate on the design and implementation of the overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
  
• Participate on the development of risk models involving energy market.
  
• Work closely with corporate groups and other stakeholders for improvement of risk controls and implementation of new controls / tools / methods, among others.
  
• Reviewing hedge proposals and hedge effectiveness as well as mark to market exposure.
  
• Assess and communicate Risk metrics of new projects / contracts on a standalone basis and as an increment to the MCAC markets.
  
• Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience.
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Math, Statics, Business Administration, Finance or related
  
• More than 2 years of experience, completing similar tasks. Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
  
• Upper Intermediate/Advances level of English is required.
  
• Strong computer skills, including VBA, Python and other data management.
  
• Negotiation skills
  
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  
• Confident and mature worker.
  
• Strong organizational skills.
