Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES
We are a NEW RV Park and Cabins and are continuing to add amenities to our park. This position is for a Maintenance Team member who will focus on adding these new amenities (shade structures, fire pits and paved areas)
Maintenance of cabins, facilities, equipment and grounds. Perform basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing projects, painting and repairs, including irrigation and as directed by the Campground Manager.
SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Perform basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager.
• Perform basic carpentry for small projects around the park as well as paver installation.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as outlined by the immediate supervisor. Examples include, but are not limited to these areas; weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping and various other campground equipment.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the campground manager, including laundry servicing if needed.
• Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome and professional demeanor.
• Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guests needs.
• Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smiles and proper KOA uniform.
• Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the campground manager or supervisor and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible.
• Comply with all federal and state safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff and campground guests.
• Holidays are busy and occasionally holidays will need to be worked.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

• Must be able to lift up 80 lbs and 15 pounds regularly.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
• Long periods of standing (75%)
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
• Able to drive and travel in a utility vehicle.
• Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates.
• Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain.
• Capable of going up and down stairs without assistance (Our cabins have stairs.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Hear and speak the English language fluently.
• Excellent employee & customer relations skills & ability to manage confrontation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation
• Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling and usage.
• Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and be on occasion be on-call throughout the day & night – Schedule to Be Discussed.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
