Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled Maintenance and Industrial Engineering Support Technician to support our maintenance and industrial engineering operations across multiple facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment maintenance, reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, and performing time studies for industrial engineering purposes. The ideal candidate will manage preventive maintenance tasks independently, perform time studies, and participate in process improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events. While some clerical duties are involved, this is primarily a technical role that demands a hands-on, detail-oriented individual.


Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:

• Manage and execute preventive maintenance schedules through the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, extracting necessary actions to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed promptly, focusing on maximizing equipment uptime and efficiency.

Industrial Engineering Time Studies:

• Conduct time studies using Video Timer Pro software to evaluate value-added and non-value-added activities in manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and interpret data to determine efficiency levels, recommend process improvements, and establish time standards for various operations.
• Participate in Kaizen events and other process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce waste.

Cross-Functional Support:

• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless task coordination and adherence to equipment maintenance and operational standards.
• Assist with facilities management by integrating preventive maintenance schedules across multiple sites, including Florida and Canadian operations.

Additional Support:

• Assist in procuring and tracking essential materials related to maintenance operations.
• Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment-related issues, leveraging technical knowledge to resolve problems efficiently.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Basic understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical maintenance manuals and extract necessary actions for preventive maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in performing time studies and analyzing value-added versus non-value-added activities.
• Knowledge of Kaizen principles and participation in continuous improvement events.
• Proficiency in CMMS software for tracking and managing maintenance operations.
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

• Experience with Video Timer Pro software or similar tools.
• Background in supporting maintenance teams with technical expertise, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with industrial engineering concepts, such as time standards and efficiency calculations.

Schedule:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel between facilities may be required.

• Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
• Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
• PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
• Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
• Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
• Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
