The Ocean Care Operators in the Transported by Maersk Customer Delivery organization is at the heart of Maersk Operations and focuses on enabling cost efficient and smooth cargo operations for our customers’ cargo to and from all vessels calls, both mainliner and feeder vessels, carrying Maersk business.

The position is part of the Americas Operations Cluster responsible for vessel schedules, allocation management, Vessel Share and Agreement (VSA) coordination, port productivity, procuring and controlling container yard, port expenses and foreign feeder costs, load and discharge processes, equipment positioning and evacuation.

• You work together with the Areas and customers to improve our product and product execution, which includes direct contact with our end customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure we deliver what we have promised to our customers – you are the guardian of the promise that we make to our customers
  
• Oversee end-to-end processes and ensures quality output whilst meeting customer needs
  
• Be the owner and entry point in to Operations for Customer Experience teams for all customer related requests and queries. Working with Customer Experience own the joint engagement model, enhancing it to continuously to improve the service standard offered to our customers.
  
• Responsible for ensuring those containers that deviate from the transportation plan for any reason are recovered swiftly and ensure Customer Service are kept regularly informed.
  
• Manage operational deadlines towards commercial and operations teams as well as Terminals to ensure smooth cargo flow
  
• You are a single point of contact with the Areas representing Tb M Customer Delivery with aim to improve customer experience and Maersk service delivery
  
• Handles discharge and load activities and its deadlines in close cooperation with Cargo Execution 24/7, the GSC and the commercial teams in the countries
  
• Responsible for transshipment cargo and need to drive optimization of the network at the lowest possible costs
  
• Ensure all inter-terminal transfers are executed as planned
  
• Manage all changes to discharge, load and transshipment cargo
  
• Drives cost effectiveness in the cargo execution process
  
• Proactively reduce waste such as ensuring no longstanding containers, re-nominations and cargo no-shows
  
• Responsible for special cargo operation
  
• Identify and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in our ways of working
  
• Identify and ensure cost reduction
  

Requirements:

• Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in shipping operations or customer experience.
  
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is desirable.
  
• Advanced level of both spoken and written English is required.
  
• You are customer oriented and you want to ensure that we give our customers the best experience at all times.
  
• An individual with a strong level of ownership and accountability, with a visible sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a very dynamic operations environment.
  
• You can advocate strongly for our customers with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  
• You have a mind-set focused on standardization and continuous improvement to deliver cost-efficient and smooth end-to-end service delivery to our customers.
