PROGRAM MANAGER/CRAFT MASTER
LOCATION: NSWC Panama City
This position is contingent on a proposal.
MUST have experience working at NSWC. (Panama City highly preferred)
Crew Licenses/Certifications
The Contractor shall obtain and maintain the required certifications within 30 days after Task Order award.
Craft Masters shall hold a current United States Coast Guard (USCG) 100 Ton Master license.
All Contractor personnel shall be trained and maintain currency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Automated External Defibrillator (AED) operation and First Aid. 100-Ton Captains Licenses and CPR certifications shall be current and available for Government inspection.
Contractor shall ensure boat safety, certification and inspection in the following areas; hull, safety of life at-sea equipment (SOLAS), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and various firefighting equipment on board each vessel (i.e. fire extinguishers, fire hoses on larger craft, FM-200 and Heptafluoropropane Extinguishing Agent (HFC-227) and FM-200 fire suppression systems on PSC-05, PSC-08, PSC-12, MK-V), MTU 60 series, Detroit Diesel 12V71, Cummins Diesel (B-Series), and small engine (2 cycle and 4 cycle) maintenance and repair. Additionally, be familiar with various communications (HF, VHF, and Satellite), Generator and AC/Heating systems.
· Interface with shore support to ensure vessel properly manned and maintained to 100% mission readiness at all times
· Administrative duties such as work order tracking, supply requisitions, and maintaining electronic email accounts.
· Manual and electronic navigation using resources available to safely and efficiently operate the vessel
· Understanding of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic boat systems in order to provide augmenting experience to Chief Engineer
· Ensure all applicable safety, operational and environmental requirements are met including but not limited to: USCG, EPA, OSHA, MLPA, NSTM, MARPOL
· Monitor assigned crew attendance for accurate timekeeping practices
· Hazardous Material oversight and environmental protection in accordance with local, state and federal law.
· Oversight of vessel preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and lifesaving equipment maintenance program
· Vessel trim and stability
· Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.
