Join a talented team of individuals who serve this country by caring for our Nation’s heroes! Clay Consulting is a VA subcontractor looking for a F/T Psychologist to perform in-person Veteran Medical Examinations.
Your Role as a Provider
At Clay Consulting you will apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of psychological health conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. As a mental health disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by the Veteran Benefits Administration.
Job Duties

• Conduct a biopsychosocial exam of the claimant.
• Instructs claimants and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
• Conducts psychological, developmental, and cognitive-deficit assessments including but not limited to test administration and interpretation.
• Prepares intake summaries and case summaries; maintains ongoing confidential records.
• Charts claimants’ treatment and progress in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations and guidelines and in keeping with accepted community standards.
• Utilizes resources of public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of claimants.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Psychology (Ph.D, Psy D)
• APA Accredited Doctoral Program
• An active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed.
• Thorough knowledge of state regulations and APA guidelines and standards with regard to ethics, treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, administration, and interpretation.
