Vision Fund is committed to forging a new path that will help us achieve our goal of positively impacting the lives of 30 million children through our strategy, Our Livelihood Promise. Based on the results trend so far, we have realized we are not going to be able to achieve that goal with our current structure and operating model. This will require us to reposition the Global Centre.
Developing strong global leaders has been identified as a key strategic priority for Vision Fund in this season. This requires leaders who are increasingly effective in understanding the global landscape, meeting current and future demands of the network, and modeling excellence in performance and behaviour. To that end, we are hiring Senior Advisor Leadership Development whose main purpose is to develop, manage and support global leadership development programmes and initiatives, specifically focused on Manager development across the Vision Fund Network. This global role will also provide consultation and recommendations to colleagues leading similar work within MFIs and in World Vision. It will involve working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders and will include the following: creating and managing curriculum for Manager and Leader programmes; researching and making decisions around effective practices; incorporating the latest trends and learning from relevant initiatives within and outside of Vision Fund and the World Vision Parternship; deciding upon usefulness of tools, systems and processes that can then be implemented or contracted; design, develop and deliver learning solutions and resources, including elearning. Additional requirements include developing, reviewing, and approving papers, proposals, and reports for both impact measures and for design purposes. Support the Global director in Talent Management, specifically in creating and supporting succession plans in order to assess development needs of top and core talent.
Key responsibilities
Leadership Development
-
Own, design, and manage Leader-Manager development programmes including SLII Concepts, Supporting Insights Coaching and Team effectiveness, Mentor training, and other programmes

Own and manage the 360 assessment portfolio
-
Key Contributor and stakeholder in development of Core Competencies/Capabilities on behalf of Vision Fund
-
Coach, advise and consult with SLII Concepts facilitators
-
Creation and maintenance of facilitator trainings to support global leadership development
Talent Management Support
-
Support the Global Lead for Talent and Leadership during the succession planning process by coaching leaders, reviewing plans, and updating succession plans for MFIs and Global Centre teams

Assess development needs of Top Talent identified as successors, and coach talent in creating development plans.

Support managers to ensure development plans are robust and are completed successfully.
Leverage Networks for Manager and Executive Development

Own vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and sourcing necessary for robust manager development

Maintain relationships and align with the WV P&OC team and other manager development teams in the Partnership to enhance existing programmes, generate ideas, enhance resources, and facilitate innovation for Vision Fund manager and leader development
P&C Contribution
-
Maintain relationships within the Vision Fund P&C team, keeping Business Partners and others informed and updated to manager and leadership development calendar
Knowledge, skills and experience
Required
-
Bachelor’s Degree in one or more of the following: Business Management, Education/Professional Education and Training; HR/Human Resource Development; Organisational Development
-
Professional Expertise of at least 5-7 years in Leadership Development. Creation/design and delivery of global programming
-
Deep understanding of the organisational infrastructure, leadership development practice, challenges, trends, and best practices
-
Instructional design experience and digital awareness
-
Strong interpersonal, influencing, persuasion, decision-making skills
-
Ability to adapt effectively across multiple cultures and time zones
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, both oral and written, and ability to convey information effectively in a variety of styles for a variety of audiences
-
Ability to train and equip others in order to scale delivery
-
Able to develop and maintain professional relationships (internally and externally) with senior executives as well as mid-level managers
-
Preferred 7 years experience in Leadership and Manager development
-
Demonstrated ability to teach and train, informally and formally
-
Demonstrated understanding and skill in cross-cultural situations and with a variety of faith expressions
-
Proven consultancy skills
-
Demonstrated ability of analytical skills and using technology to evaluate leadership development effectiveness
-
Effective at building and sustaining team cohesion and working across teams
-
Ability to deliver effective trainings virtually and in person
-
Ability to work and communicate at a distance; and
-
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Preferred
-
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Leadership, Change
-
Memberships in appropriate professional organisations (HR, Org Psychology, Change, OD)
-
Accreditation in Adult Learning, Executive Coaching, or similar
-
Effective in written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
-
Insights Practitioner or similar
-
Multipliers Practitioner or similar
-
Previous microfinance experience
-
Skills in project management
-
Skills in delivering significant online learning experiences
Languages and Travel
-
English and conversational Spanish.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
