The Role:

• The role will be working in collaboration with the relevant Principals and Business Development team to coordinate and deliver the bid preparation for all bids received. Work in conjunction with the Bidding Manager to identify and initiate ways to develop and improve the company’s bidding processes and bidding resources to provide advice and ongoing bid quality assurance, manage large bids to ensure effective internal and external coordination, drafting and adapting non-technical and technical inputs so they are specific to the clients’ needs and asks, and developing and improving the company’s tendering processes and tender resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Bidding Manager, Business Development Team and Principal on the completion and submission of bids/proposals.
• Develop and maintain the bid/proposal submission timeframe ensuring that inputs are submitted on time.
• Contribute to the formulation of the bidding strategy, taking into consideration client trends, requirements, competitors’ approach and team’s configuration and capacity.
• Work in tandem with the Bidding Manager to ensure a sound commercial business case in line with the recommended approach.
• Minimizing risk to the business and ensuring bids/proposals are submitted in line with the IDR policies and process, keeping open communication channels and lead on consultations with cross-functional team.
• Drafting and adapting non-technical - and technical as appropriate – inputs, so they are specific to the client’s needs and asks.
• Providing strategic advice throughout the bidding process as well as an ongoing assurance function throughout the bidding, promoting best-practice.
• Maintain the proposal quality and presentation including adherence to IDR branding, length and readability of the text, use of data-visualization and diagrams.
• Participate in appropriate capability networks to ensure feedback, lesson learning and continuous improvement.
• Promote best practice bidding and sharing learning across the organization and through reviews on bidding and bidding processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 1 years of experience in bidding process, proposal development, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the bidding process and familiarity with government, commercial, or institutional bidding procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, conduct financial analysis, and make informed decisions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency in using bid management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitors.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
