Job Overview:
The Chemist will play a key role in developing and improving ink and coating formulations to meet customer specifications and industry standards. The position involves conducting research, performing quality control tests, and optimizing production processes. The Chemist will collaborate with various departments to ensure that all products are innovative, high quality, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples for testing
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Document experimental results and analyze data
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist in the development of new laboratory techniques
• Collaborate with team members on research projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field. (Master's degree is a plus.)
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the inks or coatings industry, with a focus on formulation and development
• Strong knowledge of chemistry related inks, coatings, resins, pigments and solvents.
• Proficient in using laboratory testing methods, equipment and instruments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in experimental procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• strong organizational and communication skills.
• knowledge of regulatory standards (ISO, environmental regulations, etc.) relevant to the inks and coatings industry.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with wared based, solvent-based, and UV-curable inks and coatings.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong project management skills for leading R&D initiatives.
