Director, Agile Coach, Poland

- Leading through influence and acting as an agent of change with a set of teams or a program to evolve their ways of working. Working with technology, business, product and operations partners to understand current state challenges and coaching, training and mentoring them through the transition
- Coach and guide product teams and individuals to adopt new ways of working related to product management, including embracing product management methodologies, collaborative practices, and digital tools. Establish coaching and transformation backlog and sharing this plan and progress with key stakeholders
- Keep an eye on improvement in maturity, quality, predictability and delivery as adoption of agile practices increases to ensure coaching meets the required outcomes and agility for the business
- Actively support existing large programs with Agile adoption and execution. This includes at times actively stepping in to setup and demonstrate JIRA boards, Scrum of Scrums, first Program Increment planning and other such activities.
- Actively support project/program teams on PI (Program Increment) planning setup, Agile Portfolio management and coach teams on whether to adopt Agile, Kanban or hybrid.
- Facilitation of retrospectives, continuous improvement workshops and other forums focused on removing team and program impediments to agility
- Work with cross-functional leaders to plan and execute change initiatives that encourage new modes of operation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effects of the transition to product management on productivity and team dynamics.
- Build and execute a comprehensive change management plan to promote agile and product management adoption through the organization including both IT and business users
- Facilitate workshops and hold regular coaching sessions to support the continuous learning and application of product management practices.
- Recognize and address any resistance to change, providing guidance and motivation to staff.
- Collaborate with other coaches, HR or Learning and Development teams to align on coaching strategies and principles.
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to IT Leadership on the adoption of product management within IT.
- Schedule and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration sessions to enhance team dynamics and communication.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices concerning organizational change management, agile methodologies, and product management working patterns.
- And all other duties as needed or assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
- SAFE Certification required
- Certifications in agile coaching or product management required
- Minimum of 15 years of product/ software delivery experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience leading product teams through the product development lifecycle, from ideation to sunset.
- Minimum 3-5 years as an Agile Coach
- Significant experience is taking large teams and transforming them into Agile and SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) ways of working.
- Passion for coaching and training to help evolve organizational structures to enable collaboration across hierarchies.
- Proficiencies in value stream mapping
- Prior experience with large scale transformation
- Strong understanding of change management principles, agile methodologies, and the product management lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. An ability to motivate people and manage resistance to change.
- Experience coaching, facilitating teams, leading training sessions, or managing change initiatives.
- Experience managing products, particularly those that involve implementing new processes or systems.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff within a matrix system
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and to encourage team members to seek solutions independently
- Masters or other advanced degree
- Six Sigma and Lean certifications and experience
- Coaching experience in release trains and release management
- Experience in a CRO or healthcare-related industry.
