Intercompany Accounting Specialist

The position
Looking for a role where you will not only provide expertise in the areas of intercompany accounting processes, but also take part in process optimization and development of further innovative processes within our GBS Centre? Help us build Intercompany Accounting Team responsible for ensuring compliance and deliver Service Level Agreements, including execution of core financial processes such as invoice posting, secondary business invoicing, closing activities and reconciliation for the assigned GBS countries.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance of daily Intercompany Accounting tasks in compliance with BI rules:
    • Posting of AP invoices,
    • GR/IR Analysis,
    • Approving creation of Intercompany invoices;
  • Analytical intercompany accounts reviews and reconciliation;
  • Ensure timely repayment of intercompany invoices;
  • Liaise with auditors in preparation and completion of audit requirements related to Intercompany Accounting topics;
  • Define process rules and monitor Intercompany standards and seek ways to improve the process;
  • Responsible for the execution, compliance and maintenance of Intercompany related standard, processes and procedures as part of the GBS service portfolio;
  • Support the business partners regarding all Intercompany Accounting related requests within the area of responsibility;
  • Ensure excellence in daily operation for assigned procedural service streams of the Intercompany team by providing end-to-end solution;
  • Responsible in administering the processes in accordance with published guidelines, standard work instructions, internal control standards and Local’s Finance and/or Corporate policies;
  • Prepare and regularly update process documentations;
  • Partnering with local finance and other GBS streams in resolving issues and achieving quality results;
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities;
  • Participate in defined topics, projects and/or working packages
    • Preparation and performance of internal and external trainings for Intercompany Accounting topics
    • Preparation and performance of internal and external meetings and workshops
    • Support and Sub-lead of projects (e.g. deployments)
About our future employee
You should speak English language fluently (min. B2) and have professional experience in the accounting area.
Additionally, we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy preferably or accounting courses;
  • 1-3 years of experience preferably in financial accounting (Intercompany Accounting, GL Accounting, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables);
  • Distinct empathy, team spirit, accountability, intrapreneurship and a high service orientation with customer centricity;
  • Positive approach with ability to come up with ideas in our Speak-Up culture and actively participate in process optimization;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • High quality awareness, resilience and independence considering changing requirements;
  • Ideally good SAP know-how and working experience with the ERP system, preferably with SAP S4Hana (IHB module knowledge is a plus);
  • Very good customer-oriented presentation and communication skills;
  • Good knowledge in MS Office Tools;
  • Ability to work in a diverse international environment.
