Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug moderately complex software applications
• Participate in software design reviews, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to software development best practices
• Collaborate with product owners and QA teams to define feature specifications and develop high-quality deliverables
• Investigate and leverage new technologies and frameworks to keep the software modern and competitive
• Address and resolve software defects reported by the QA team or end-users
• Provide input for software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives, providing input for task breakdown and ensuring timely delivery

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in creating user interfaces with Java Script, Type Script, and React as well as, fluent in web services/API standards like REST and Graph QL
• Experience in optimizing large-scale applications, specifically those processing millions of daily transactions and managing terabyte-sized databases
• Professional web application development experience, with a focus on the heavy utilization of either commercial or open-source web application frameworks
• Demonstrated understanding of programming and advanced design patterns beyond the typical MVC
• Experience in professional RDBMS development and/or No SQL, with an emphasis on complex SQL, DML, DDL, and well-architected schemas
• Direct experience with Postgre SQL, Cassandra, Mongo DB, Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Pig, Hive, Redis, Memcache D, and Redshift is a plus
