International Corporate Tax Associate - UK Experienced

**FINANCE **

LISBON
Our Lisbon office is located in Portugal's cosmopolitan capital. In this office, Farfetchers like to have catch ups in the ball pit or creative moments by the grand piano!
ROLE
We are looking for an experienced International Tax Associate to manage and oversee tax compliance and planning activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting and international tax laws and regulations and will work closely with the global tax team to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related items in financial statements
Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related documents
Prepare detailed tax reports and schedules for internal and external audits – previous experience with SOX is a plus
Assist in the preparation of financial statements by providing relevant tax information
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns for various countries within the Group – experience in UK taxes is a plus
Ensure timely filing of tax returns and related compliance documentation
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary
Ensure compliance with withholding taxes obligations on cross-border operations
Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
Prepare and provide necessary documentation and responses to tax authorities

WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Degree or Specialisation in Taxation or a related field is a plus
4-6 years of experience in tax, preferably with a focus on international tax and previous experience with UK and US taxes
Experience with multinational companies or Big4 is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of international tax laws and regulations with previous experience in UK taxes
Proficiency in tax compliance and accounting software (Dynamics365 and SAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work with large amounts of data
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Fluency in English is mandatory
Be based in Portugal (mandatory)
