Currently, we are seeking an exceptional Java Developer who thrives on complex challenges, and is ready to seize this fantastic opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 17 and the Spring Framework, ensuring robust performance and scalability;
- Utilize cloud tools such as AWS or GCP to build and deploy cloud-native applications, adhering to best practices in cloud computing;
- Implement microservices architecture, following industry standards and best practices for microservices design and development;
- Collaborate on the development of frontend applications using React JS and Next JS, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs;
- Apply frontend design patterns and best practices to create user-friendly interfaces and enhance the overall user experience;
- Manage frontend build processes using tools like npm, node, webpack, and grunt to optimize application performance and maintainability;
- Contribute to the Dev Ops process by managing CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment tasks to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery;
- Take ownership of production systems, ensuring their stability, scalability, and security by implementing appropriate monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms;
- Actively participate in Agile development practices, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
Requirements:
- +4 years of experience in Java development;
- Strong experience in Java 17, the Spring Framework, and cloud tools such as AWS or GCP;
- Proficient in designing and developing microservices architectures;
- Familiarity with React JS and Next JS, with a good understanding of frontend design patterns;
- Experience in backend API integration and frontend build tools (npm, node, webpack, grunt);
- Solid understanding of Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines and production system management;
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies;
- A great team spirit with the ability to work independently;
- Fluent level of English;
- Living in Portugal (hybrid role in Braga, Coimbra or Lisbon).
