We intend to recruit a Head of Accounting (m/f) to perform the following functions:

YOUR ROLE

• Coordinating the Accounting department and working closely with the Finance leadership team;
• Analysing and proposing internal control measures to improve the company’s processes;
• Closing and reporting the financial statements on a monthly basis;
• Supporting the external auditor work;
• Ensuring all legal and tax obligations are met on time and the financial statements are accurately stated;
• Supporting the senior management team in strategic and budgeting processes;

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB:

• Higher education in accounting, fiscal, management or similar;
• At least 10 years’ professional experience, with 5 years as a Certified Accountant;
• At least 3 years’ experience in team management;
• Experience in consulting (i.e., BIG4) and accounting firms;
• Knowledge of software and ERP implementation (Oracle, SAP, Primavera or similar);
• Knowledge of spoken and written English;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially of Excel;
• Certified Accountant by the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC) in Portugal;
• Knowledge of Portuguese accounting and tax legislation;
