TERRA AZUL Wildlife Tours in Azores Islands is looking to hire a Video or Photography professional or enthusiast, to develop the newly created position of Wildlife Media Producer & Communication Manager, elevating to top standard the company's media presence by effectively communicating the company's message aligned with brand and core values to it's audiences and stakeholders.
The successful Wildlife Media Producer & Communication Manager is a flexible, passionate creative, knowledgeable and resourceful proactive reporter, who is looking to build a career in Media, and is always prepared to find and readily capture settings on the company’s (human and wild) life activities inland at sea and underwater, documenting and publishing imagery that tell captivating stories and incentivize engagement.
Key Responsibilities essentially include, but are not exclusive to:

• Daily Capturing and Producing, Publishing and Promoting Imagery content on the company’s assigned communication channels;
• Planning, Managing, Maintaining and Updating the company’s Archive, and source Media on-request;
• Proactively Planning, Managing, Producing and Supporting company projects;
• Hosting Media visitors, liaising to ensure exceptional professional support;
• Managing and Supporting Media Training and Equipment Maintenance.

Given the nature of the position and the company’s operating industry (tourism), the type of work required varies with seasonality (and the weather) - this role requires the responsibility of planning field work ahead for ideal conditions, and managing work load and time with flexibility to prioritize according to outdoor weather conditions, ensuring all functions and outputs are completed in timely manner.
Preferred Requirements and qualifications:

• Fluency in written and spoken English (essential);
• Educational Background in Videography or Photography, Digital Marketing, Communication, Environmental or related fields;
• Experience proven in Videography or Photography (ideally with focus on wildlife, nature, or adventure settings);
• Proficiency with Office software and Media editing software, and online services;
• Organizational skills, with the capacity to plan ahead to manage multiple projects, and work flexible hours to meet deadlines;
• Exceptional Storytelling ability through visual and audio mediums, with a passion for wildlife and environmental conservation;
• Resident or Familiarity with the Azores Islands' wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation challenges is an advantage.
