DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (LOCAL) in Doha, Qatar
Years of experience: 5-6 Years
Project Site Location: Ras Laffan
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Trade training certificate from recognized institution (2 years ITI certificate as Mechanical Technician)
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry
Key Accountabilities:

• Identification of technical problems and its rectification.
• Maximize the Reliability & Availability of Rotating/ Static equipment, i.e.

- Centrifugal Pump (Back pullout/Vertically split, End supported/Horizontally split, Multistage, Vertical, Submersible),
- HP Centrifugal Compressor (Multistage, Horizontally split/Barrel Type, Integrally geared), Centrifugal Blowers
- Fans, Steam Turbines (Single / Multistage, Condensing / Back Pressure),Gear pumps/ Metering pumps, Reciprocating Compressors
- Shaft Alignment,
- Mechanical / Gas seal assembly,
- Associated ancillary equipment like Lube oil skids, Hydraulic skids, Speed Changing Gear Units.
- Reactors, Catalytic Reformers,
- Fired Heaters,
- Heat Exchangers (Fixed, Floating, U Tube),
- HP Vessels/Drums,
- Pressure Relieving Devices,
- Storage Tanks (Fixed, Floating),
- Piping Components,
- HP/MP Steam Boilers, Steam System (Desecrators, Steam Traps, Super heaters),

• Assist in Routine-Preventive-Corrective-Shutdown Maintenance
• Inspection of equipment – Vibration Technique
• Strict Adherence to Plant Safety Protocols
• Maintain / Update the job completion records
• Perform Technical investigation & RCA
• Interact closely with the Planning Team and ensure smooth operation

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Knowledge of Rotary equipment in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical or Fertilizer, which includes Preventive, Corrective & Shutdown Maintenance of equipment
• Knowledge of Vessels under Pressure., structural and refractory activities, inspection techniques, weld procedures and refurbishment
• Knowledge of bolting and torquing norms and practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Good physical condition and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Ability to carry out overhauling of pumps, motors and gearboxes etc. independently.
