We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Assistant to provide specialized support, promoting the well-being, behavior, and personal growth of our students. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with parents, staff, and students, contributing to the nurturing environment of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide pastoral care to students, offering support through discussions, practical resolutions, and engagement with parents/carers as appropriate.
· Serve as the main contact for pastoral issues, collaborating with the Head of Year and senior leadership.
· Motivate and involve students in key events internally and externally.
· Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to supervision during before school, lunch, and support groups.
· Work with Heads of Year to promote and manage student attendance and punctuality.
· Liaison with Staff and Agencies: Collaborate with SENCDO, School Counsellor, and to support student well-being.
· Assist with investigating incidents and implementing behaviour sanctions in collaboration with Heads of Year.
· Provide on-call support in classrooms and supervise students in the Reflection Room.
· Complete administrative duties including data input, preparing reports, and supporting parent meetings.
· Work with staff to promote student health and well-being.
· Uphold and promote the school’s safeguarding policies and responsibilities.
· Actively engage with the school community.
· Assist in extra-curricular activities and other school responsibilities.
· Participate in training and development activities.
· Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Headteacher
