Position: Senior Manager - Domestic Transaction Banking (Qatarization)
Location: Qatar
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager - Domestic Transaction Banking to lead our client’s domestic transaction banking operations. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of P&L, oversee asset management, and drive product development aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Profit & Loss Ownership: Take full responsibility for the P&L and asset book management, ensuring alignment with the institution's financial objectives.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with various departments and units to achieve the Group's goals and objectives.
• Product Development: Collaborate closely with the product team to recommend, develop, and implement enhancements to cash and trade products, ensuring initiatives align with overall transaction banking business objectives.
• Performance Monitoring: Oversee financial and performance management reporting to monitor business performance and ensure all financial targets are met.
• Audit & Compliance: Provide timely and accurate information to internal and external auditors as well as the Compliance team.
• Capability Development: Work closely with Cash and Trade Product teams to drive capability development, including domestic product and credit programs, to meet market demands and client needs.
• Strategic Support: Partner with Head Office and Country Managers to support business objectives within the cash and trade business areas.
• Human Resource Management: Lead human resource planning, recruitment, performance management, and team development for the department, ensuring alignment with the bank’s goals and fostering a positive work environment.
• Dispute Resolution: Ensure that internal team disputes are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all departmental activities are documented per internal and external requirements and report regularly to Senior Management on departmental performance.
• Project Management: Undertake any additional tasks and projects as assigned, supporting corporate and institutional banking objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology; an MBA or Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant banking experience, ideally within a top-rated international bank.
• Language Skills: Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, and knowledge of other widely used business languages is an advantage.
• Technical & Industry Knowledge:
• Knowledge of risk management concepts and practices.
• Understanding of digital channels, cash management, and trade services, as well as general banking industry regulations.
• Familiarity with Corporate Banking client needs and expectations.
• Financial Skills:
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and financial modeling.
• Experience with balanced scorecard approaches.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and other relevant applications.
• Leadership & Team Management:
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
• Strong organizational and people management skills.
