SR. MEP Engineer - GRADE A

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare project implementation schedules
· Communicate project, subcontractor and package updates to engineering team and management
· Plan and oversee startup, testing and commissioning functions
· Ensures the health and safety regulations are applied and efficiently followed.
· Ensures effective and efficient production within set timescales
· Manages and coordinates work of subordinates and sub-contractors on the site
· Prepares the tender packages and subcontractor contracts / work orders for the trade packages under their responsibility
· Participates in the selection of construction methods and the development of the construction schedule
· Provides regular reports of works progress to the Project Manager / GM, reporting any problems which may lead to time delays against works program
· Ensures subcontractor compliance with approved method statements
· Ensures the cost control of each sub-contract, reporting any anomalies to the Contract Manager
· Ensures subcontractor compliance with approved subcontract specifications
· Seeks approval from GM, CM and Contract Manager for extra works, providing a description of the variation and cost
· Liaises as required with CM and Health and Safety Manager, reporting matters of substance to GM
· Recruits and select site engineers and assist in ensuring their induction into the Company
· Assists in the training of site engineers
· Applies and follow the Project Management Plan and manage Quality records.
· Ensures the Company Health and Safety safe working practices are observed at all times
· Complies with Company Policies and Procedures

· Participates and or implements the selection of the building and technical material required for the project in relation if required with the Engineer, Construction Manager and office Design Team
· Organizes the receiving of MEP material and plant equipment. Controls and checks the quality and stock against requirements of the site. Conducts periodic site inspections and QAQC related duties as required, attends pre-commissioning and commissioning of MEP equipment, witnessing final and QCDD inspections.
· Follows the site expenditure according to the site program and planning.
· Puts into place the installation of the site project.
· Collaborates with the installation plan of the site and operational execution.
· Any other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time based on business requirements.

Education & Qualifications
· Bachelor`s degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject (minimum). Chartered through a relevant and appropriate institution. Grade A
· Qatar UPDA / MMUP as A Grade (preferable)
· Civil Defense Certification from Qatar Civil Defense
· Proven track record on completing projects
· Minimum 10 years’ experience, out of which at least 5 years of construction experience in Middle East in well reputed large MEP Companies.

Pay: QAR8,000.00 per month
