Primary purpose of job
Provide regulatory support to Qatar Energy and its HQ-based subsidiaries (“Qatar Energy“)
conducting trading and marketing activities (including Qatar Energy Trading, Qatar Energy
LNG Marketing and Qatar Energy Marketing and Trading), where such support is in
connection with the laws, regulations and exchange rules of specific application to the
products being traded or marketed (“Trading & Marketing Regulations”), except for the
responsibility to undertake surveillance and monitoring which will be undertaken by the LCG
division as part of its broader compliance responsibility. The preparation and review of
internal policies & procedures and the implementation of internal processes (including
reporting measures) to ensure compliance with Trading & Marketing Regulations, except
those required for surveillance and monitoring, for which the Trading & Marketing
Regulations section will support the LCG division to ensure such activities are consistent
with Trading & Marketing Regulations. Support the LCV division on any projects that it is

developing and managing, to the extent involving Trading & Marketing Regulations.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum ten years’ experience in legal, compliance, governance, audit or internal
control functions, ideally in an energy trading environment. Knowledge of industry
technological tools is attractive.

• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with

fluency in written and spoken English. Other language skills would be advantageous.

• Proven people skills and experience of working in high pressure situations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of applications. Knowledge of industry

technological tools is attractive.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Studies, Law
or equivalent, from an internationally recognized university.
