Sustainability Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability strategy, programs, and initiatives within the
organization. The role holder will engage with internal and external stakeholders to integrate environmental, social and
governance (ESG) principles and practices into the core operations and culture of the organization. He/she will identify
material issues and establish sustainability goals and KPIs to track organization sustainability progress and impact, and
will ensure the communication of sustainability data collection and analysis through an annual sustainability report, in
accordance with internationally recognized standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop a comprehensive sustainability strategy and policy in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Qatar and UAE National Visions, and regulatory direction.
2. Engage with Dolphin Strategic Planning team to ensure business and strategic plans are aligned with sustainability principles. Ensure integration of sustainability annual commitments and targets into various Divisional Annual Objectives ives / business plans to ensure they are in alignment with the company mission andvision.
3. Establish proper governance of the company s Sustainability Management Plan through ensuring its implementation, conducting regular reviews with all stakeholders, and providing regular feedback on the progress of the Plan to Senior Manager Environment, Sustainability & Climate Action.
4. Integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and considerations into the company's sustainability management programs.
5. Design and establish cross-functional sustainability performance goals, KPIs, metrics, initiatives, and strategies to drive sustainability throughout the company. Interpret data associated with relevant sustainability and ESG metrics and establish measurement tools to track and understand ongoing performance, identify gaps, and areasfor improvement in sustainability efforts.
6. Lead the development of the annual Co,pany's Sustainability/ESG report to align with different reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, others) and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders and regulatory bodies.
7. Conduct regular stakeholder (internal and external) engagement exercises to enhance report disclosure and company transparency. Lead the sustainability materiality assessment process including ongoing updates to align with global best practice and to establish sustainability priorities.
8. Responsible for sustainability information gathering and data capture verification, interacting and liaising with multi-discipline internal workgroup across all business units of the company (upstream and downstream).
9. Continuously assess and refine sustainability strategies based on performance data and changing circumstances. Develop sustainability procedures and make procedural modifications as required to meet regulatory and business objectives and goals.
10. Lead externally contracted sustainability service agreements. Perform benchmark studies against other operators and partners to improve corporate sustainability performance. Identify potential sustainability related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Track changes in sustainability/ESG standards, ratings and rankings, and Dolphin performance relative to others in the industry.
11. Collaborate with internal business units, suppliers, and external partners to promote sustainability practices throughout the supply chain. Develop training material for sustainability practice and engage with employees and the community to foster sustainability initiatives. Develop methodologies to assess the viability of success ofvarious implemented sustainability initiatives.
12. Research sustainability issues, concerns, and stakeholder interests and raise awareness among employees of sustainability goals and practices, at all levels of the company. Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices. Explore innovative solutions to advance sustainability efforts.
13. Respond to sustainability and ESG surveys as well as raters and rankers including global disclosures reporting (if required) to drive environmental action. Lead and participate in various reporting, certification, awards, and qualification projects that enhance company s sustainability reputation.
14. Manage communications related to sustainability performance and requirements, including content and support for sustainability reports as well as queries from stakeholders. Collaborate and liaise with Corporate Communication and Public Relations to support the development of sustainability communications products tailored to key stakeholders.
15. Recommend strategies to address issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation, training, and development. Assist with reporting on targets such as carbon footprint reduction, material reduction, water stewardship, optimal sourcing, zero waste, etc.
16. Interface with and support other functions of the Environment, Sustainability & Climate Action section, to ensure successful implementation of the department business plan, environment management programs, and decarbonization roadmap.
17. Support the company's ESG startegy by tracking key performance indicators and goals. Manage the flow of ESG data to stakeholders and collaborate on ESG program development and adaptation
18. Assist in preparation, administration, justification, and monitoring of annual Environment, Sustainability & Climate Action budget, including identifying and developing cost reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess the financial implications of sustainability initiatives. Seek opportunitiesto make sustainability economically viable for the organization.
19. Maintain and apply a deep understanding of sustainability and ESG landscape, regulatory requirements, reporting frameworks, rating agencies, and best practices. Keep abreast of relevant regulations. Anticipate and adapt to regulatory changes and/or risks and opportunities regarding sustainability and ESG. Ensure the organizations compliance and advocate for necessary change.
20. Represent the organization in sustainability-related events, conferences, and forums. Support sustainable practices within the industry and broader community.
21. Perform other similar or related duties as assigned by line manager/supervisor and act on behalf of line manager/supervisor.
