The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher specialising in teaching Biology to IGCSE and A Level students and KS3 Science.
Currently, the Science Department at Doha College consists of 24 full-time teachers supported by four full-time Science Technicians. Lessons are taught in 22 purpose-built laboratories. The College follows a balanced science programme at Key Stage 3, in line with the English National Curriculum. At Key Stage 4, students opt for Edexcel IGCSE Separate Sciences. At A Level, students opt for Edexcel Physics, Edexcel Chemistry and CIE Biology. At all stages, the College achieves excellent academic success. Experience of being fully cognisant of all aspects of an A-Level Biology course will be seen as an advantage.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards; students receive i Pads upon joining the school, whilst teachers receive both an i Pad and a laptop.

You should have demonstrated success in your current role, be a highly motivated and successful practitioner and, above all else, have a real passion for the subject. You should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.
We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential.
