A new opportunity has arisen for an Economist in our Constanta office in Romania

In Romania, ADM provides services in its own silos as well as transportation with its own pushers, being one of the largest port operators in the Black Sea Port of Constanta, handling barley, rapeseed, wheat, sunflower seeds and corn, as well as various other commodities.

Position Summary
The position is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.

In this role, as a member of the Finance team, you will work with other departments on the flow of invoices and payments through ADM assets across the country.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepares payment orders in local currency (lei) and foreign currency in the Bills and Sharp systems in the online banking system for suppliers, the budget, employees, as well as currency exchanges.
• Prepares the bi-monthly Cash Flow.
• Correspondence with clients regarding the payment of outstanding amounts.
• Back-up for centralizing food allowances and per diems for crews, and registering onboard cash.
• Chronological filing of invoices and Goods Received Notes (NIRs) from suppliers at the end of the month for verifying the Purchase Journal.
• Correspondence with bank representatives, completing and submitting necessary forms in the relationship with the bank.
• Correspondence with partners (clients, suppliers, shipowners) regarding the allocation of received and paid amounts.
• Participates, at the request of company management, in intra- and interdepartmental projects or activities of a temporary nature, depending on their role and competencies, to contribute to achieving team objectives.
