SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - FINANCE

Main Goal

We are looking for a qualified Chief Accountant to join our team in Bucharest. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all administrative and accounting functions. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with local regulations and implementing effective accounting practices that support our business.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage General Ledger Functions: Ensure accuracy and compliance with local and IFRS GAAP standards.
Prepare Financial Statements: Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
Oversee Payroll Execution: Supervise payroll processing and collaborate with the HR team to maintain accurate employee records and compliance with labor laws.
Analyze Financial Data: Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to prepare forecasts, budgets, and reports that reflect our business goals.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local tax legislation and ensure accurate submission of all statutory reports and taxes.
Implement Internal Controls: Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
Manage Cash Flow: Oversee cash management, accounts payable, and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Support Financial Planning: Assist in strategic financial planning by providing insights and recommendations based on financial performance.

Skills: what we expect of you

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within an international environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in Excel.
