Construction manager

- Manages the construction process of the project from design phase to execution and completion, including the contribution to the schedule of work, costings and budget;
- plans the works and monitor the acquisition process of necessary materials and equipment;
- manages the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labor force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing the logistical requirements of the project and quality control;
- assists in managing and reviewing the progress of subcontractors schedules;
- checks design documents with engineer designers, sub/contractors, supervisor and/or final beneficiary;
- ensures the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting milestones and monitoring progress;
- promotes and maintains health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed;
- ensures that all the works are preformed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures;
- writes reports, maintains regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project;
- Plans ahead to prevent problems and mitigates the impact of any issue.
- Civil work and/or rail construction experience highly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and use your initiative
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Master degree or Bachelor degree in Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in Construction Management
- Advanced computer literacy – MS Office
- Good knowledge of Construction Management processes and tools
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
