Here is a city than mesmerizes you with its beauty before keeping you enthralled by its history. With more than 2.1 million inhabitants in the urban area, Bucharest is one of the largest cities in Southeastern Europe. International teachers are paid more than the average salary, so it is relatively easy to save, and eating out is cheap. Known in the past as "The Little Paris," Bucharest has changed beyond recognition, and today it has become a very interesting mix of old and new. The Old Town is the place to be in Bucharest now, and you will instantly fall in love with the lively atmosphere… a bit quiet in the morning, lively during the day, and bustling with activity in the evening. Bucharest is also a green city and there are many parks you can visit. Bucharest is a cultural city, and thus, there is a wide variety of cultural manifestations: films, festivals, literature, music, visual arts, conferences. No matter what you are looking for, you will find it here.
