You have:

• Minimum 5 years of previous experience in the field Public Relations and Public Affairs
• Understanding of business and communication context in Romania
• Extensive knowledge of using insights to formulate communication activities to drive IKEA business and meet receiver needs
• Extensive knowledge of how to lead communication by defining, planning, executing and follow-up communication to relevant stakeholders, always keeping coworkers informed, engaged and empowered
• Up-to-date knowledge of the complete media landscape (including the latest trends in social media), activation and measurements
• Ability to comfortably support and influence senior business leaders and colleagues with the business goals and co-workers in focus
• Proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary
• Ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice together with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships
• Have strong communication skills in English and Romanian languages, both spoken and written

What you'll be doing day to day

About the job

To support better business results and enable transformation and growth of the IKEA business in the markets through impactful communication. To lead effective communication both internally and externally and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders.

About the assignment:

• Be a communication expert and a direct contact and support for market communication needs
• Identify local strategic opportunities, threats and trends to develop relevant communication plans
• Create communications plans for all initiatives that clearly demonstrate the link between desired business outcome and chosen communications activities
• Create communication plans and content, in close collaboration with the management team and leaders, key stakeholders, and other IKEA/Ingka entities in the market
• Drive internal and external communication projects, taking a 360 degree approach
• Contribute to the market and IKEA SEE communication strategic planning process
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and partners at the SEE region level to enable IKEA Romania and IKEA SEE to achieve its business objectives by influencing and contributing to external events, policies and legislative regulations
• Support coordination of IKEA SEE Communication strategy
• Support spokespersons in the market, ensuring they have the right skills to communicate with impact and the right narratives and messages to support our topics
• Develop a deep understanding of countries’ objectives to tie communications work directly to desired business outcome
• Support the process for country on-duty phone and media product loans in the country
• Support local crises management
